Almost 600 titles were published on 3 September, and apparently a lot more to come- which is causing problems for even the big bookstores to try & stock all of them. Obviously some of them have their eye on the Christmas market, but in the meantime, I feel it is our duty to read EVEN more and particularly support the less well known, non celebrity authors...!

In my opinion...

It took some time for me to get into this novel, and I nearly put it to one side, but I’m glad I persevered.

Lucia Graves(translator)

In my opinion...

Opening this book and starting to read was like coming home. I relaxed, and missed my train stop- I was in the hands of a master story teller.

The language, even in translation, is inspirational and atmospheric, painting a magical world full of stories within stories.

In my opinion...

Can you read a book through your fingers?

            That’s how it felt when I was reading this crime thriller.

The concept of the story is dark, horrifying and completely credible. The graphic descriptions seem well researched, and the insights into the killer’s mind were too uncomfortable at times to read.
