In my opinion...

This is a brilliant long journey on the train book, ( is it obvious that I spend a lot of time on trains? ) as once started you really don’t want to stop reading it...

I loved the concept, using riddles as clues, and I really liked Maddy the main character, though I was unsure about her lack of reaction to some of the events and things she saw, particularly in the last few chapters of the novel.

I had guessed who the killer was quite early on, but still raced through to try and work out the reasons behind the murders. Locations were realistic and extremely accurate, I know a lot of them well and had a very strong mental picture of where the action was taking place, as I tried to second guess where the next murder would be.

How credible it is for the police to rely so heavily on assistance from an up and coming lawyer I’m not sure, but as a story I thoroughly enjoyed it. An impressive debut novel which I was delighted to review as part of the blog tour.
