The Guest List
In my opinion...
I loved the Hunting Party, so was very excited when I had the opportunity to review Lucy Foley’s latest novel.
The concept of getting a group of people together as in traditional Agatha Christie ‘whodunnits’ has always intrigued me- so this novel had me hooked from the start- a bunch of friends, a wedding, an isolated island, what on earth could go wrong…cue cynical laughter, everything of course.
I couldn’t put it down.
The dialogue is fast paced, the imagery is chilling and evocative. The PoV varies but all characters are easily identifiable from their very strong narrative voices. The author writes in a style that I really enjoy, and I’m looking forward to book 3 already!
